Cedric Akbar
Cedric Akbar is the Director of Forensic Services for Westside Community Services, a founding member of Positive Directions Equals Change, a member of the San Francisco Adult Probation Department’s Community Advisory Board, and holds a seat on the City and County of San Francisco’s Community Corrections Partnership as an expert in substance abuse treatment.
In his professional capacity, Cedric manages eight reentry programs including the Positive Directions TRP Academy, the Minna Project, the Billie Holiday Center, and HER House. A bond-servant for Christ, Cedric has served the people of San Francisco for decades. While human beings experience trauma or severe life stressors, it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. His great passion through Christ is bringing healing to people who have been marginalized by addiction and the criminal justice system. He has helped countless people find healthy perceptions of themselves, overcome addiction, and begin to achieve their dreams.

John Avalos
John Avalos is a former San Francisco Supervisor who served District 11. Before joining the BoS, Avalos worked as a legislative aide and community organizer with Coleman Advocates for Children and Youth. As Supervisor, he championed progressive policies like local hiring ordinances and affordable housing funding. He was instrumental in implementing a progressive gross receipts tax, generating millions for affordable housing.
After his tenure, Avalos led the Council of Community Housing Organizations, continuing his work on affordable housing and racial equity. He remains committed to social justice, improving public services, and advocating for working-class and BIPOC communities in San Francisco.

Trevor L. Chandler
Trevor Chandler is an internationally recognized LGBTQ civil rights advocate who has worked on-the-ground of 7 pivotal marriage equality campaigns and a dozen nondiscrimination campaigns. In addition to being appointed by Governor Newsom to the California State Board of Pharmacy, he is a longtime public safety and housing advocate.

Matt Dorsey
Matt Dorsey represents District 6 on the SF Board of Supervisors. Supervisor Dorsey is the first elected member of the Board of Supervisors to be openly HIV-positive and is one of three LGBTQ+ members. Since taking office in 2022, Supervisor Dorsey has made his top priorities public safety concerns, police staffing, the fentanyl epidemic, and increased housing citywide.
He currently serves as the Chair of the BoS’ Rules Committee and Treasure Island Mobility Management Agency, and serves on the Public Safety and Neighborhood Services Committee, Health Service Board and Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District. Prior to joining the BoS, Supervisor Dorsey served on the command staff of the SF Police Department as the department’s communications director. Previously, he served for 14 years in the SF City Attorney’s Office, where he worked to support groundbreaking cases around marriage equality, education access, public health, tenants’ rights and worker protections.

Peter Gallotta
Peter Gallotta is a social change leader, LGBTQ+ political activist, and climate justice advocate committed to building grassroots Democratic power in California and across the country. Peter has been an organizer in San Francisco Democratic politics for more than 15 years. He's knocked on thousands of doors to reach San Francisco voters, helping to elect dozens of state and local candidates to elected office.
Peter is a past President of the Harvey Milk LGBTQ Democratic Club and has been a member of the SFDCCC representing Assembly District 17 since 2017. He was elected to a full four-year term by San Francisco Democrats in both 2020 and 2024.
Throughout his tenure on SFDCCC, Peter has been a consistent advocate for renters, working families, immigrants, and San Franciscans struggling to make ends meet in one of the least affordable cities in the country. Peter lives in Lower Nob Hill and is the founder of Mama G’s Street Dinners, a food justice non-profit serving the Tenderloin. -
Emma Hare
Emma is a lifelong Democrat and tireless champion for Assembly District 17, which includes the Chinatown, the Mission, West Portal, the Castro, and countless other vibrant neighborhoods in San Francisco.
Emma began her career in public service in San Francisco during the first Trump Administration working to secure asylum for those fleeing violence and persecution. Since 2017, she has served the San Francisco Mayor’s Office and Board of Supervisors developing policy and advocating for a brighter future for our City. She has worked closely with business owners to support the regional economy and led efforts to restore the sustainability of the Municipal Transportation Agency and keep MUNI running.
Emma is a Fulbright Scholar, graduate of Georgetown University, and graduate of Emerge California. She and her husband, John, can be seen walking through Precita Park, enjoying a meal at Elena’s in West Portal, and celebrating special occasions in Chinatown. -
Lily Ho
Lily Ho is committed to making her hometown a safer, more equitable place for all. Lily Ho Chairs the Special Committee on Sexual Assault and Harassment in the San Francisco Political Community on the DCCC. Outside of the DCCC, Lily sits on several San Francisco focused boards of non-profits focused on youth, justice, and safety. Outside of SF politics, Lily relaxes by cooking and painting.

Jane Kim
Jane Kim is the California Director for the Working Families Party and board member of Close the Gap CA, working to achieve gender balance in the legislature.
She served on the Board of Supervisors from 2011-2019 during which she led groundbreaking initiatives including making City College tuition-free, enacting the nation's first $15 minimum wage law, and securing over $140 million annually to fund early childhood education. A housing leader, she authored robust tenant protection laws, entitled an unprecedented number of housing units in her district and secured 40% affordable/middle income housing mandate in three major projects.
After her tenure, she served as the California Political Director for Bernie 2020 and Senior Fellow at the Sanders Institute.
Previously, she worked as a community organizer, civil rights attorney, and President of the Board of Education. Jane is a graduate of Stanford University and UC Berkeley School of Law. -
Michael Lai
Michael Lai's six word story is "educator, entrepreneur trying to fix San Francisco." Michael is an Excelsior resident who ran for office in 2024 for DCCC & D11 supervisor and before that spent a decade helping build a new nonprofit university and launching a network of early childhood schools with a new teacher housing model.
Michael has also been volunteer preschool and 4th, 5th, 8th grade teacher. He is on the Board of Wu Yee Children's Services, and the Ingleside Police Station Community Advisory Board. Michael was born in China, with family in Taiwan, and went to public schools then Harvard.

Bilal Mahmood
Bilal Mahmood is the Supervisor for San Francisco’s District 5. Elected in 2024, he is the first South Asian and Muslim-American to hold this position. A former policy analyst in the Obama administration, Mahmood later co-founded ClearBrain, a predictive analytics company acquired by Amplitude. He also launched the Foundation 13 Fund, supporting small business relief and anti-Asian violence initiatives.
As Supervisor, Mahmood advocates for housing reform, streamlining approvals to address the housing crisis. He also prioritizes public safety, proposing data-driven solutions like Drug Market Intervention programs for the Tenderloin.

Michael Trung Nguyen
Michael Trung Nguyen, a lifelong renter and the only child of Vietnamese refugees, is an Intellectual Property attorney in Silicon Valley, known for his contributions to the legal field and the LGBTQ+ and AAPI communities. As his drag persona, Juicy Liu, he was crowned Miss GAPA (GLBTQ+ Asian Pacific Alliance) in 2016. Michael served as GAPA’s Chair from 2017 to 2021, revitalizing the all-volunteer organization and fostering a vibrant Queer & Transgender Asian & Pacific Islander (QTAPI) community.
His work led to the creation of the first-ever QTAPI Week, inspiring grassroots organizers across the country. His advocacy also contributed to San Francisco’s establishment of the nation’s first-ever Drag Laureate. Michael holds a Juris Doctorate from UC College of the Law, San Francisco, and a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in Comp. Science & Music from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX. His work reflects his dedication to justice, advocacy, and empowering marginalized communities. -
Joe Sangirardi
Joe is a pro-transit, pro-housing, pro-climate Democrat. Joe is fighting to build a stronger Democratic Party by electing a new generation of activists and challenging the party’s status quo.
Joe is a national LGBTQ+ advocate and serves as Development Director at Equality California. He previously led national fundraising to elect Democrats at the Human Rights Campaign and as a director at the LGBTQ+ Victory Fund. Most recently, Joe worked at California YIMBY, California’s leading housing policy, research, and legislative organization.
Joe is active in his neighborhood and serves as PAC Co-Chair of the Alice B Toklas LGBTQ Democratic Club, on the Sierra Club’s Bay Area Transit & Compact Growth Committee, and is a two-time AIDS/LifeCycle cyclist. He’s also served as the Vice President of the Eureka Valley Neighborhood Association and on the Retail Strategy Committee of the Castro Community Benefit District. Joe is from Tulsa, Oklahoma and lives in the Castro with his husband Jeff. -
Nancy Tung
Nancy Tung was elected Chair of the San Francisco Democratic Party in April 2024. She is currently serving in her second term as an elected member. Nancy's vision for the Party gets back to the basics of making our institutions relevant to and work for everyday people. She is committed to growing the party every year by reaching into every neighborhood and community across the City.

Michela Alioto-Pier
Michela Alioto-Pier is a former San Francisco Supervisor representing District 2. While on the Board she fought to save St. Luke's/Mission Bernal hospital from closure.
She prevented the building of fossil fuel burning smoke stacks in the Bayview, passed the first payroll tax exemption in the city for Bio Tech incubator businesses and the first Film Rebate program in the state, creating thousands of jobs for San Franciscans. Michela and her husband Tom raised their 3 children in San Francisco.

Dan Calamuci
Dan is a Richmond District resident, a member of Carpenters Local 22, and a proud parent of an amazing SFUSD student. As Senior Representative for Strategic Campaigns & Research with the Nor Cal Carpenters Union, Dan leads campaigns throughout Northern California that raise wages, bring desperately needed housing to our communities, and tackle wage theft, exploitation and fraud in the construction industry.
Dan was appointed by Governor Newsom to the Fraud Assessment Commission, is an elected delegate to the San Francisco Labor Council, is a member of the Geary CAC, and is committed to standing with and lifting up all San Franciscans. -
Connie Chan
Connie Chan is the Supervisor for San Francisco’s District 1. Before her election in 2020, Chan worked in public service as an aide to Supervisor Sophie Maxwell, District Attorney Kamala Harris, and Supervisor Aaron Peskin. She also served as a spokesperson for SF Recreation and Parks and City College of San Francisco.
As Supervisor, Chan has focused on small business support, housing affordability, transit, and public safety. She has been a strong advocate for working families and accountability in city governance.

Mike Chen
Mike Chen is an advocate for housing, transportation and good governance. A San Francisco resident since 2014, Mike serves on the boards of the the Edwin M. Lee Asian Pacific Democratic Club, and the United Democratic Club (and the Alice B. Toklas LGBTQ+ Democratic Club). Mike Chen is on the SFMTA Board of Directors. He works as a Data Engineer for a software company.

Lanier Coles
Lanier is the Director of External Operations for the SF Democratic Party. She organized phone banking for the Harris / Walz campaign and coordinates with other Democratic Party groups that mobilize for Democratic candidates outside of San Francisco.
Lanier has worked in healthcare for over 20 years to improve quality and lower cost for Bay Area residents. Outside of her day job, Lanier has been elected twice as a delegate to the California Democratic Party representing Assembly District 19. As a delegate, Lanier advocated for language to be added to the California Democratic Party platform to protect small businesses from cyber crime and vandalism. Lanier also serves on the board of Huckleberry Youth Programs. -
Parag Gupta
Parag Gupta is a Bay Area native that was inspired by his immigrant family's journey - from his grandfather, who started the first women's college in his region of India, to his parents who never skimped on Mr. Gupta's public school education. He has dedicated his 25-year career in uplifting families to have the same opportunities he was afforded.
He serves as an elected San Francisco School Board Commissioner and is also an affordable housing leader that oversees Resident Services for 45,000 residents in 22 states (including 9,000 San Franciscans). Previously, Mr. Gupta founded Waste Ventures, a profitable social enterprise that created over 6,000 green jobs and reduces thousands of tons of CO2 emissions. Previously, he was a consultant at the Bridgespan Group.
Mr. Gupta received his BA from the University of Chicago and his Masters in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School. He is a proud SFUSD parent and enjoys running in Golden Gate Park. -
Eric Kingsbury
Eric Kingsbury is a dedicated community leader who has made significant contributions to his district by collaborating with local officials and neighborhood groups to address key issues like homelessness and public safety. As President of the Marina Community Association, Eric has been a strong advocate for local businesses, especially on Chestnut Street.
In 2020, Eric founded the District 2 Democratic Club to amplify residents' voices in city politics. His leadership extended to managing successful campaigns, including Yes on C, E, and F in 2023, and Mayor London Breed’s re-election in 2024. With a background in tech and a deep commitment to community, Eric’s efforts continue to shape a more inclusive and engaged district.

Gordon Mar
Gordon Mar is a passionate public servant who served as Supervisor for San Francisco’s District 4. Before serving on the Board of Supervisors, Mar was the Executive Director of Jobs with Justice San Francisco, where he brought together labor and community groups to champion economic justice. He also led the Chinese Progressive Association, advocating for the empowerment of the Chinese-American community.
During his time as Supervisor, Mar played a key role in securing funding for City College of San Francisco’s free tuition program and worked to improve transparency in reporting hate crime statistics.

Marjan Philhour
Marjan Philhour is a small business advocate, community leader and working mom of three with over 30 years of experience in public service at the local, state, and national levels. A daughter of immigrants, she was born at French Hospital at 6th and Geary and has spent her career fighting for Democratic values that affect all of us - public safety, supporting small businesses, and keeping families and working people in San Francisco.
Philhour co-founded the Balboa Village Merchants Association, revitalizing the commercial corridor and supporting local businesses. She has organized public safety forums and worked with neighbors to address community concerns.

Jade Tu
Jade Tu is a San Francisco native.
In 2021, her world was shaken up during the nationwide violence towards Asian Americans. Tu decided to take action and spent time volunteering in Chinatown Safety patrols to make an impact on the community. From there, she co-founded Dear Community.
